After spending nearly 20 years in the corporate world as a Human Resources Manager, I decided to finally take a leap of faith and do my life’s work of taking beautiful portraits. I’ve been a professional photographer since 2016, when my husband and friends encouraged me to lease out a space at a local community center. I bought some inexpensive strobe flashes, a backdrop, and got to work (play).
Since then, this little small-town photography studio has grown thanks to the support, encouragement and love from our clients, friends, family and our communities. We are proud to be able to serve our clients with heirloom-quality images. It’s a passion and labor of love for my entire team. But what we really love the most about the work we do is that we get the chance to be a part of capturing visual legacies of a family, and then realize that someday these portraits will be held in the hands of people who aren’t even born yet. It’s an amazing feeling that energizes us each and every time!
While I thoroughly enjoy all genres of portraiture, my passion is in Fine Art. This is a process where my team and I curate timeless, painterly and moody images in classic poses, colors, lighting and wardrobe. Think of our Fine Art Portrait Service as having an artist paint your portrait in a modern way. I want to leave you with one-of-a-kind portraits that become a family treasure today and as the years go by.
Our process is friendly, comfortable, and fun. We love getting to know our clients, and in the process they quickly discover that there’s no need to be anything other than themselves. You may come to our studio as a relative stranger, but by the time you leave I promise you will know you’ve made some new friends.
We would be honored if you would allow us to help you create a beautiful visual legacy for you and your family!
